What's New

Welcome to VirginiaSOL.com.  The 2004 web template is finally complete offering visitors more exciting features to explore, experience and prepare for the Virginia Standard of Learning exams.

New Web Link:

Texas Department of Education.  On-Line tests similar to VirginiaSOL test requirements.  Section 101.4 of the Texas Administration Code (TAC) states, "A representative form of each assessment instrument required under the Texas Education Code, Chapter 39, Subchapter B, shall be made available periodically for public review and for formative student evaluations by school districts."  (Grade 3 to End of Course)

This year's updates include:

The new template is designed to make it easier to locate the different modules within the site web using a new menu system.
Role Model - every page presents a different event or person from history that helped shaped the United States from the early 1700's to the struggle for civil rights.  Just click on the picture located in the left column.
The Book Store has been relocated to the practice test area.  The workbooks are classified to that specific grade level.
Teacher's Corner includes more information for parents of students; such as, 'Preparing for your Parent Teacher Conference'.

Thanks to all who have written to me last year with both praise and criticism.  - Gail A. Cornwell, Web Master
